DESCRIPTION:Mark Your Calendar for Saturday October 3\, 2026! \nIt’s The Harvest Hoedown \nWe need many volunteers the day of the Hoedown\, Saturday October 3\, 2026. Volunteers from last year did such a great job working the Scarecrow area. Please sign up again. There are jobs for everyone.\nIf you are an early bird\, we need you here at the church at 8:00 am to help load everything up to go to the park. There are 2 hour shifts for jobs such as Ticket booth\, Clothes tables\, supplies\, babysitting bought\nscarecrows\, helpers\, and to sell premade Scarecrows. A big need for help is at 4:00 pm to load up to return everything to the church. We need help! \nThe sign up sheet for the volunteer jobs\, at the Scarecrow Area is in the parlor. A Mission Committee member will be waiting there after each service in September to help you choose a job. Please sign up for a job\nand time slot that works for you ! This is the major fundraiser for the Williamsport Food Pantry to pay for rent\, utilities and to purchase food from the Maryland Food Bank. \nThe Mission Committee Thanks you for your support for this Outreach Mission.

The talk will be about the Scots-Irish as a group and their emigration to America. They were the Presbyterian Forefathers. He is a retired Internal Medicine physician from Meritus Health ten years ago.  He and his wife Lois have four granddaughters\, a second grader\, and a tenth grader living in Silver Spring and a senior and second year college student in Boston.

DESCRIPTION:In case you haven’t . . .GO Boxes are Global Opportunity Shoeboxes we pack every year just before Christmas for children around the world. It is an opportunity to lead them to Jesus through a box that is fun\, filled\, and personal. Under the guidance of Samaritan’s Purse\, children who receive the boxes first participate in a lesson about Jesus by local teachers who have been specially trained. They also have an opportunity to continue learning about Him after the initial session. \nThe boxes are prepared for children from 2 through 14 years old. You can choose to pack a boy or girl’s box and the age of your child. Last year\, St. Andrew donated 167 boxes that went to Thailand. In the past\, our boxes went to the Dominican Republic and Tanzania. \nBoxes are available from October 18th to November 8th. Please return them as soon as possible so we can get them ready for the processing center. There is a $10 donation requested for shipping each of the boxes. A cart will be set out for your returned boxes. \nPlease prayerfully consider donating one or two boxes to children who will be blessed by the gift of your love and generosity. In the Legacy Hall there will be crafts\, games\, and refreshments available for everyone! If you are brave\, go check out the haunted house downstairs. Please sign up if you plan to attend. \nNeeded: We need lots of people to hand out candy to the kids at our Trunk or Treat/Harvest Party. It is such a fun evening watching the kids come by in their costumes and getting candy.  The more people we have participating the more fun it is for the kids. DESCRIPTION:Mark your calendar now for our annual Christmas Bazaar!  It is scheduled for Friday evening\, November 13 (6:00-8:00pm) and Saturday November 14 (8:00am-2:00pm).  There you will find a variety of handmade crafts\, as well as lots of gift and thrift items for sale. \nIn the baked goods department\, you’ll find tasty candies\, cookies\, and other baked goods\, and our kitchen staff will be making made-to-order food items for you to enjoy before\, during\, or after you shop!  Oh yes!  And don’t forget to bring your camera along (and maybe even your pet!) to take pictures with Santa! \nA special word of thanks to all who have worked so hard on our crafts over the last several months! \nAnyone interested in donating cookies or other treats for our bake sale\, please add your name to our sign-up sheet in the entryway. \nWe will be needing a lot of people to work the event.  If you can spare a couple hours (or more!) please consider adding your name to our volunteer list\, or see Marcia for available time slots.  We will also need some workers to help set up during the week prior (Mon.-Thurs. Nov. 4-7\, 9:30a.m.-noon). \nIf you’re making crafts at home that you are donating to the Bazaar\, please let Marcia know ASAP so we can prepare a display space for them! \nPlease contact Marcia Davis or Barb Smith.
