DESCRIPTION:SAVE THE DATE: The Human Right’s Day celebration will be held on Friday\, September 13\, 2024 at our church! Fliers about the event are posted in the church. \nAt 6:00\, a dinner prepared by our Presbyterian Women will be provided for $15. Reservations for the meal need to be made by September 5 by calling\, texting\, or email (preferred) to Tammy Coyle. . \nThe program begins at 6:50. A speaker from the Hope Center of Hagerstown will share about their ministry. The offering will be given to Hope Center. \n  \nTo enable mothers to attend\, Dominique Burford will provide free child care during the program. Those planning to use child care should register by Sept. 5 by calling Debbie Keefer by Thursday\, Sept. 5\, 2024. \nThank you for the generous support at our May Friendship Day dinner and program. There were at about 70 men\, women\, and children in attendance. Health Kit donations totaled $150 and 85 kits! The Least Coin offering was $104! Other unspecified donations amounted to $504! We also celebrated two Young Church Women: Pamela McDonald from St. Andrew Presbyterian Church and Anastasia Minnick from Beaver Creek Church of the Brethren. What a wonderful evening! SUMMARY:Presbyterian Women Bible Study
DESCRIPTION:This year’s Bible Study is\, “Come to the Waters.” Water plays a leading role in the stories of creation\, the delivery of God’s people (through the parting of the Red Sea and the crossing of the Jordan River)\, judgement of a people weak in faith\, and the adoption of the people of God through baptism. This Bible Study explores some of the Bible’s 800 references to water. We invite all Presbyterian women to meet with us and explore how sometimes there is too much water and sometimes there is too little water. We will consider the waters of chaos in Genesis and the River of Life in the last chapter of Revelation where chaos is no more. \nPlease join us Tuesday\, September 10\, as we begin this fascinating new Bible Study. Pastor Mark will lead both the morning and the evening Bible Studies. The daytime group meets from 10:00- 11:15 a.m. and the evening group meets 7:00-8:15 p.m. with childcare provided as needed.
