See more information below on “What’s Going on at St. Andrew.”
Includes: Transportation, Admission Tickets, Breakfast Buns, Muffins and Water Join us as we travel to one of the world’s premier horticultural gardens located in Chester County, outside of Philadelphia. Longwood Gardens showcases more than 9,000 species and varieties of plants spread across more than 1,300 acres of gardens and displays. Every two hours, they set off displays at the Festival of Fountains located throughout the grounds. We will depart St. Andrew at 7:15 am on a Luxury 55 passenger bus (Atlantic Coast Charters) with a restroom, reclining seats with cup holders, and Wi-Fi. There is under bus storage for walkers and rollators. Bring your morning coffee or tea in your “go” cup and we will provide muffins and honey buns for the ride.
We are purchasing tickets to enter the gardens for 10 am (opening time). This allows us time to rent our scooters ($=donation & ID) and be on our way. Scooters are a first, come, first serve basis. Apparently, they have a bazillion.
We have not included lunch in the price because of the variety of choices available for food inside the Gardens. The dining experience can be at the “1906” (reservations recommended) to The Café (reservations not needed). Just pull up your scooter and enjoy great food.
Longwood Gardens allows visitors to bring in their own water bottle, snacks, treats, etc. Just No Picnic Baskets. Invite your spouses, friends, neighbors or co-workers to fellowship with us We need a $30 DEPOSIT before March 20th with the BALANCE due of $109 before April 20th.
Sign up in the Parlor and make your checks payable to: St. Andrew PW Travel and place them in envelope. Ask Patty Rutledge or Barb Smith if you have any questions. We will depart at 7:15 am & expect to return at approximately 6 pm.
