Dear Friends, The month of May is a month to remember. We remember the sacrifice of those who defended our freedoms whether abroad or close to home. We fondly lift our prayers in the memory of those who gave of their last full measure of devotion to ensure our freedoms. May we never forget the sacrifice of those who served in our military, the fire departments, the police, the EMT personnel, who risked their lives for us. Peter Marshall, a Presbyterian minister, who gained fame by being the Chaplain of the Senate immediately after WWII, prayed this prayer for Memorial Day:
