January Newsletter

As we enter a new year, we, as a society, always do a year in review. We look at significant events such as milestones or sad events such as loved ones who have left us and moved onto eternity. We review where we have been and where we are going. We look at how we responded to the events found in our lives.

These last nine months have been unlike any period in our lifetimes. As one of my  friends put it, “We are living in history, and we know it.” How so true! Often we realize  that this is significant history after the fact. Here we have had the opportunity to experience a  unique situation as we are living it.

Dear Friends,

As we approach Advent, which begins on November 29, we are truly looking forward this year. We are looking forward to an end to this pandemic. We are looking forward to the return to normalcy. Dear Friends,
As we complete seven months of dealing with the COVID-19 concerns and issues, I would like to point out that the call of Christian purpose has never been clearer. September’s Newsletter

Dear Friends,

We have re-alized in the midst of all of this to pray for those on the front lines of the crisis—the doctors, the nurses, the aides. Then, as the crisis continued, we realized that there are others in our lives who are needed for our lives to be normal—grocery clerks, the truck drivers, those who are in the manufacturing business, those who make masks, those who make hand sanitizer and toilet paper and sanitizing wipes, and those who collect our trash to name a few. As we pro-ceeded through the crisis, we began to realize that those who keep us safe are also vital—the police, the military, the fire fighters, the EMTs. In addition, we need to pray for those in gov-ernment who seek to lead us through this crisis. [Read more…]
