Bazaar Time is here!
The Presbyterian Women (with help from several others!) have been working feverishly to get things ready for our BIG EVENT!
Our hours will be: Friday night, November 10, 6:00p.m.-8:00pm. (time correction from October·s newsletter!) Saturday, Nov. 11, 8:00a.m. – 2:00p.m.
We hope you will all come out and do some Christmas shopping with us! Not only will you find some top-quality gift items and an amazing variety of hand-made crafts, but you’ll be able to find some special bargains in our Thrift Shop and scrumptious candies, cookies, and other baked goods at our Bake Sale. Our kitchen will be open both days for made-to-order meals, and Santa will be here all day Saturday, so bring along your kids and/or your dog for a free photo op! Special thanks to all who have worked so hard over the last several months in preparation for the Big Event! We have accomplished so much together, and have certainly had a good time in the process!
Jed Koball, the missionary in Peru we support through our Mission Committee, will visit St. Andrew on Nov. 6. On Monday evening, Nov. 6, beginning at 6:30 pm, Jed will share about his 14 year ministry in Peru followed by a time to meet Jed personally with fellowship and light refreshments. These events will occur in the entry way (Narthex) and sanctuary.
It will be Sunday, October 22, between services. This will be our Pastor Appreciation Coffee Hour. Come out an celebrate Pastor Mark & Annette.
Fall has arrived, and with it comes thoughts of autumn leaves, pumpkins and WAIT – the annual Williamsport Harvest Hoedown!
Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 7th, as we at St. Andrew once again participate in the Hoedown by hosting the much-loved scarecrow patch. Kids young and old flock to our area at Byron Park to make and take home their scarecrows.
We need LOTS of help from our St. Andrew family! So, you say you can’t help due to allergies? Not a problem! There are several volunteer jobs available, actually, most of them, where you don’t have to get into the hay. If many people volunteer that day for just 1 hour, our scarecrow patch will run smoothly. Students looking for community service hours will find this a fun way to earn hours. The sign-up sheet is in the parlor.
We are still in need of some items. Used and new pantyhose (pantyhose can be purchased at the Dollar Tree for $1.25), small people clothes, baby onesies, Long sleeve button/snap up shirts all sizes, but especially youth and children sizes, Jeans of all sizes especially youth and children sizes, Hats, Neckties, Scarves, Belts. Place your donations in the tub found in the hall outside of the office marked scarecrows before October 1.
The Harvest Hoedown is the largest fundraiser for our Williamsport food pantry. Let us at St. Andrew live our love of Christ by volunteering to help on October 7th. Contact Shirley Fox with any questions. Hope to see you all there! Our premade scarecrow event will be October 1, 5p.m. Please note: The youth are no longer collecting clothes for Big Creek.

As we approach the summer, just a few items for you to remember and consider: *
Apply your sunscreen so that you don’t get sunburn. Also apply the holiness of God so that you don’t lose your spiritual witness.
* Take time to rest. We have in Psalm 23, the call to be beside still waters and quiet pastures. We are to take time to rejuvenate. Also remember to take time to drink of the water of worship. As we gather in worship, we experience and enjoy the rejuvenating water of God’s word shared in the context of the Body of Christ.
