He is risen! This year, we are planning a Walk Through Jerusalem community event. We are looking for volunteers to represent Jesus, the disciples, and guards as our tour guide takes us from Palm Sun-
day to the empty tomb. This event will take place during our Easter Carnival on March 30. Roles are available for all ages and help is needed with set design and preparation. All are welcome to join as we

Good Friday Cross Walk (3.29.24)
A Good Friday Cross Walk will begin at noon at the church on the corner of Virginia Avenue and Cole Road. All are welcome to come.
A virtual Cross Walk on Facebook will begin at 2:00 pm.
We will walk the stations of the cross for that hour of the earthly life of Jesus Christ.
Maundy Thursday (3.28.24)
We will celebrate communion on March 28 at the Maundy Thursday Service beginning at 7:00 pm. There will be special music, the ceremonial washing of hands, and communion.

World Day of Prayer (3.1.24)
Celebrate World Day of Prayer on Friday, March 1, 2024 at the Downsville Christian Church, 8641 Downsville Pike, Williamsport, MD 21795.
The program, written by Christian Women of Palestine, begins at 11:00 followed by a sampling of Palestine foods.
Reservations are not needed, and there is no charge. However, a free-will offering will be taken for the World Day of Prayer, an international, inter-church organization. Theme scripture: “I beg you. . . bear with one another in love.” Eph. 4:1-7
Youth Group Chili Cook-Off and Sandwich Sale (2.25.24)
After the second service (around 12:15 p.m.), we will be having our annual Chili Cook-off and sandwich sale. Proceeds of the fundraiser go towards this summer mission trip. So, start getting those recipes ready. Entry fee is $5 per chili entered. Come out and support our amazing church youth and possibly win some prizes if your chili is the best. The sign-up sheet is in the parlor. Please turn in your sandwich order today!

Ash Wednesday (2.14.24)
We will celebrate communion on February 14 at the Ash Wednesday Service. It will be a potluck dinner. Please bring your favorite dish. The meal will begin at 6:30 pm with the service beginning around 7:15 pm. The Service will feature the application of ashes, a special message, the renewal of our baptismal vows, and communion. Please sign up on the sheet in the parlor as to what you will be bringing.

Valentine’s Party (2.11.24)
We will be having a Valentine’s Party/and Valentine’s Card Exchange on Sunday, February 11, at 12:00. Everyone is invited to lunch and enjoy time with Sonshine as he talks about how much Jesus loves us. All kids are invited to participate in the Valentine’s card exchange. When you sign up for the Valentine’s Party, please list the names of those participating in the Valentine’s card exchange. Please sign up by February 4th. A list of names will be going out to everyone doing the card exchange that week. We hope you can join us! This is always such a special party enjoyed by all ages. The kids always enjoy running around looking for all the valentines hidden everywhere downstairs. The adults can stay upstairs and enjoy some fun Valentine’s activities. ** Singing “Happy Birthday” to Jesus and enjoying some birthday cake.
** Cookie/Candy Exchange—Anyone who would like to participate in the cookie/candy exchange, please bring 2 to 3 dozen cookies and or a bag of wrapped candy. You will be taking home a delicious assortment of cookies to share with your family and friends.
** Sonshine, our Christian clown, will be joining us at the party.
